    2 Nights Away

The cottage was clean and organized. We checked in after hours. The main desk left an envelope marked with my name, cottage number and the key. Checkout was very easy. A couple of things I suggest to renters is to pack (or purchase locally) toilet paper, paper towels and/or napkins. Overall it was a pleasant experience. I plan to come back and would suggest this to others.

    Lovely Lake Vacation

We stayed in Cabin #1 with our puppies for 4 nights, and had a wonderful stay! The cabin was renovated since our last stay, and was very nice. If you are planning on staying in the pet friendly cabin, bring an extra door mat, as our puppies brought in dirt after walking.

    Mixed Review

We were on the water's edge at Lake Allatoona. The views from our site were spectacular; sunsets and sunrises were breathtaking. We loved the fact that the campground was spacious - RVs were not packed in on top of each other. The ducks and geese waddled through the park daily along with their little babies. They were cute and fun to watch. The sites weren't real level so you had to be careful where you walked. The bathhouse was quite a distance away along with the laundry. The locked gate wasn't working when we first got there but was fixed by the end of our stay. The roads had a lot of big potholes that needed fixing - really jarred your vehicle and trailer. While we were there, they were in the process of replacing the fire rings. Picnic tables could have used some work also. We do have some MAJOR complaints. There really wasn't much grass but they mowed anyway. The mower kicked up rocks and sticks, hitting our trailer. A rock flew up and went through our big dining window and just shattered it. The campground took NO responsibility for it (even knowing that the mower was there that day) because we did not see him, we just heard him - cost us over $200 and a week to get fixed. The dump station was not good and there was NO rinse water there for washing out our little wagon. The station was a very cramped space so getting the RV in and out would have been tricky, especially with all the boats and equipment sitting around - not a good situation. We opted to have their wagon come around twice per week - $15.00 per pickup - which added up, but it was convenient. We have mixed feeling about our stay. Maybe we would stay there again, but right now we haven't made a firm decision.

    Don't camp here

This place is a mess. Sites are so unlevel, one lane road going in and out. Bathrooms are not separate for men and women and out of the 4, 2 were out of order and they are far from campsites with no good place to park. No directional sign and site map is awful. If someone is coming in, you can't go out. Looks like the camping was an after thought with little to no thought put into it. Maintenance is sadly lacking. Would not stay here again.
