    First impression was not good

we rode out to check this place out. It was 6PM on a week day in the middle of July. no one was in the clubhouse so I used the phone. the lady that answered told me they were closed and to come back another time. REALLY 6PM in the middle of July. She was right in the house next to the building I called from. All we wanted was to tour the campgrounds and see if we wanted to make a reservation for a later date. Well I made my decision, there are plenty of other places to go. Stay away from this place. First impressions go a long way.

    stay away

I have had extended stay here for the last several years due to job travels. IT IS A HOLE. The roads are terrible, filled with holes, hardly any gravel, and they only grade them on holiday weekends. The bath house is disgusting. The garbage heap is an eye sore, and someone's scrap pile is ridiculous. I visited the office one weekend morning for breakfast and all I heard were the owners gossiping with other campers about other campers. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL. People working in the clubhouse are" warning" others about their neighbors like teenagers. The speed limit is always exceeded, by the owners. Very poorly managed and kept. The two best experiences I had there, were that my employer paid for it, and when I left.

    zero class

This campground is NOT a family campground, and has zero class.Arriving on a friday to get a tent camping spot, walking into the office which was very dingy I was never greeted with a welcome to Kool lakes or even a hello would of been nice,we were able to pick a tent site being they were all open except two spots, after driving through we decided up front would be best to be near playground and so called swimming lake for the kids and also having our two other 4 legged kids with us out of respect for other people so they wouldn't be barking as it was very full in the back with permanent trailers.the front office girl wouldn't let us rent boats as she said when it's dark we dint let them go out, Sun was out and no rain in the forecast until late evening, ok then I thought as I seen other boats were out on the lake, so the kids went to swim in there swimming lake, which looks nothing like what is pictured on website, my 5 year old niece starts screaming, she got a leach on her foot, so now we can't even swim,as the next day another young camper screams again another leach, we were told there water bugs, water bugs skim on top of water,we know the difference between the two. A feud began because the young girl never reserved our sites when I paid for two, which started an uproar, we had two extra guests which would of been an extra $10, no big deal I will pay apron checking out, they changed our codes to get in gate, which my kids left to go to the ledges so they could swim, she accused my daughter of lifting gate when she just followed someone through she tried the phone they ignored her she beeped several times, the owner never came out, but decides 20 min later to come to our site and scream get the f" off my property I tried to talk to her civil but she kept screaming profanity, scaring my 5&7 yr old niece and nephew my sister asked her to please quit yelling she was scaring them she said I don't give a f" about those kids, very unrespectful person and business perso
