Our rural setting is a great place for a getaway or to use as a base to see the local sights. Explore the numerous gold rush era towns nearby or sample wine at one of the local wineries. For the sports-minded, play a round of golf at Forest Meadows Golf Resort or fish, ski, or swim at New Melones Lake. While at the lake, take a white water rafting ride or just sit back and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

The park is in the Central Sierra foothills, east of Stockton and Modesto. The nearest freeway is 65 miles west of us, but the quiet atmosphere and scenery make the slower pace more enjoyable. Some cautions: SR 4 from Stockton is very narrow and extremely crooked; not advised for any unit longer than 30 feet. SR 4 and SR 108 over Sierra (Ebbets & Sonora passes) have significant one lane stretches, sharp curves and grades in excess of 25 per cent. They are spectacular drives but should be avoided by all RVs.

    Wonderful Experience

We've stayed several times on either or both Memorial Weekend and Labor Day weekends with out children and grandchildren. My husband and I have always stayed in either a cabin or one of the Lodges, with our children tenting and an RV site. We've always enjoyed taking the grandkids up to the swimming pool or to play at the park. While camping we've taken side trips to the local wineries or up to Big Trees State Park. The highlight of every holiday weekend for everyone is on Sunday with the ice cream social. We will definitely return and have told many other people about the campground.

    Loved our stay!!

We only came for weekend for a shoot at the gun club. We can't wait to come back an stay for 4 or 5 days and see the area. It is beautiful in the spring and so much to do in all the little towns around the area. Great Camp Ground...friendly and clean and affordable!!

    Excellent Base Camp!

We were interested in several attractions in the area of Angels Camp, and we needed a central location to visit them all. Angels Camp RV Park fit the bill and was highly rated. The ratings did not disappoint. Great staff, great facilities, centrally located to visit the attractions we wanted to see (Sutter's Mill down to Yosemite), and it was great to come back to a nice quiet, relaxing park in the evening. Highly recommended, we will be back again!
