Wife and I went for a weekend getaway and to explore a campground we had never been to. We couldn't believe we haven't been here before now. Very well laid out and outstandingly clean. We will make sure to come back in the summer and enjoy the lake and swimming areas.

Had a 5 day December visit at Willow Tree and highly recommend this wonderful RV resort to all. Very clean, very neat, and very friendly. Good distance between sites, long and short walking trails, pet friendly, warm fireplace in the lodge, organized group activities, and a hot jacuzzi.

Eagle's Lair

While camped at Willow Tree a week in December, we visited 5 other campgrounds in the immediate vicinity and this was far superior for our needs. Sites were spacious, setting was tranquil, lake was placid, and staff were very helpful. Exercise room had plenty of cardio equipment and a few dumbbells. A one-mile walking, biking trail circuited the lake. The only negatives were a sparsely furnished recreation room and a long drive to Myrtle Beach. There is a resident bald eagle that we got to see catch a fish, fly to a nearby pine, and enjoy his lunch. This will be our campground when we are here in the future.

I stayed in my 29 foot travel trailer 50 feet from the lake. The spots in this area are very large with a grill, table, and fire pit. The staff was very friendly. The bathroom and showers were the cleanest I have ever seen.

Nice camp ground

Stayed for 5 nights, late Nov. to Dec. Nice large camp sites. Easy in and out. Every thing was neat and clean. A little far from beach if you want to go there everyday. Hope there catering to Snow Birds does not cut out the local folks in the winter. Sounds like it has already started to take a toll on locals. One thing needs to GO. Get rid of the fire rings. Have one bon fire area away from others. Smoke infiltrates your camper no mater what you try to do. BAD, BAD, BAD.

Thanksgiving a Willow Tree
0 % of users found this review helpful
This was our second trip to Willow Tree and we cannot express in words how much we love staying there. The layout is ideal... everyone has plenty of space, and the scenery is beautiful! You are close enough to everything along the grand strand, yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle. We have stayed in other campgrounds in Myrtle Beach and none compare to Willow Tree. We are already booked for spring break and summer vacation. We Love It!

Loved it!

Our visit to Willow Tree for the week of Thanksgiving was awesome! This resort has very spacious campsites and they are very well kept. We like being away from the busy atmosphere of Myrtle Beach but at the same time visit for the day at the beach. The bathhouse was super clean each and everytime we used them! The weather was cold but there was plenty to do. The game and exercise rooms were very nice and well stocked (games and equipment). There are plenty of activities to do like bike or walk around the lake. The staff were always willing to help or assist in any questions you may have. We had a site at the lake front with a hot tub. When we arrived we were escorted to our site where we were shown the hot tub and we could see that it was cleaned just before our arrival. We did attend their Thanksgiving get together and were very impressed. We have visited Willow Tree once before and that was during the summer and of course the lake beach, pool and outside games were terrific. This past visit my Mom came and rented out one of the cottages. She said she loved the cleaniness and space of the cottage. The sofa, chairs and bed was soft and comfortable. The cottage also had an outside fire pit, picnic table and grill which added to the experience. Overall, I would say this is a resort that I would recomend to my family and friends for sure! We can't wait to visit again!
