Description
Southwoods RV Resort is a family-oriented campground in Upstate New York in Byron, off the New York State Thruway between exits 47 and 48. Ours is a park like setting near the Finger Lakes, Niagara Falls and Six Flags Darien Lake. Making your reservations online now will ensure you will have a site when you arrive for your vacation.
Our campsites are spacious, wooded and shady and if you need anything our camp store is well stocked. Turn the kids loose on our playground and take advantage of our bike track and swimming pool. We plan special events, such as hayrides, to entertain our guests who find our near Rochester location the perfect home away from home for sightseeing and sampling the many attractions the region offers.
Letchworth State Park is wonderful for a day of hiking and a winery tour of the Finger Lakes Country is also a great way to spend a day away from Southwoods RV Resort. Other ideas for things to do in the area are: shopping and dining in Rochester, Buffalo or Batavia; a visit to the Genesee Country Village and Museum in Mumford; or even going to a horserace at Batavia Downs Raceway or catching a Buffalo Bills game.
Directions:
From New York Thruway Exit 47, go 3.3 miles north on Rt. 19 to Rt. 262 at Bergen. Turn left and go 4.5 miles west.
From New York Thruway Exit 48, go north on Rt. 98 to Rt. 262 at Elba. Turn right and go 8 miles east.

Great park
100 % of users found this review helpful
We stayed several days while attending a family function in Rochester. Park is very well layed out, roads are nice and wide so getting to your site is easy. Sites are also nice and big - well serviced. Park office is friendly. Great place to stop. Has many seasonals but a large area for transient visitors. Stop here if you are looking for a nice park.
