We love Lonnie

Even though our RV broke down as we were trying to depart from Rogue Elk park our experience was extremely positive. Lonnie our camp host at the time did everything in his power to make our stressful situation more tolerable. We had spent the night at the park and planned to leave early the next morning, on our way out our RV had other plans. We became stranded at the park for the next 24 hours due to insurance, towing and mechanic issues. With as rough of a time as we were having our host was kind enough to placate us. He went above and beyond to make our stay as convenient and comfortable as possible. The camp sights were beautiful and well maintained, right on the Rogue river as well as Elk creek, showers were warm and clean and price was right for the area. I would highly recommend this park, and sincerely appreciate the kindness that our host showed to us.

Great picnic

We had our company picnic there & several families stayed & camped. We had a spot by Elk Creek & kids could swim & play. There was lots of open space in the site where we played washers & kids played tag. Great campground if you want to raft on the river or play in the creek.

fun on the Rogue

We have been coming here for 18 years and just love it. now annually we have our friends and family come down and we have a family reunion there. Camp ground is clean and small. Lately they have had a host in the summer time and that keeps the rift raft out and seems to be more safe in regards to your stuff not being tampered with. There is lots to do: go to lost creek fish hatchery, Butte Falls, rafting, crater lake ,kayaking, fishing, swimming. kayaking is our favorite with lots of areas to put in and take out. There is a convenient market in shady cove and Frosty's for ice cream, laundry etc. Good pizza at the Pizza cove and Miguels mexican food on the river is very nice. Fun Place. The camp ground used to be first come first serve to get a spot but now you need to make reservations which is kind of a bummer. However I guess you have to plan in advance and know your dates when to come. Nice park !
