Have been coming here for 22 years. Friendly staff, lovely pool, lots of activities, close to shopping in Bangor, close to Bar Harbor. Highly recommend The Red Barn for short or long stay.

I highly recommend this campground - the owners were very friendly as were the other campers. I also appreciated how safe I felt at the campground. Even on the 2 days when the campground was really full, everyone was very respectful and followed the rules.
The location is only 1 hour from Acadia - so easy access - I would leave and spend all day hiking and then return. It is also only an hour or 2 from many other parks.
I would definitely stay there again.

We were not impressed with this campground at all! It's loud right up until the early hours of the morning even though the campground rules say quiet time is between 10:00pm & 7:00am; no one enforces those quiet times. The restrooms were also discusting! The restroom closest to our site had 3 toilets, all of which were plugged each time I went there. The other restroom is where we went to shower, and they had not been cleaned the whole weekend we were there; the hair in the drain was proof of that. It was just all around a bad experience. We didn't spend much of our holiday time at the campsite because of it, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Red Barn Campground is a family oriented campground. I have visited this campground several times as a child with my family and have continued to take my own family there as well. The campground has several activites taking place for children and 'grown-ups' as well! I would highly recommend this campground to ALL campers and believe that you will be truely satisfied with your stay.
