Pismo Trip

In spite of a little rain, we had a great trip. The restroom were clean and our site was almost level and well drained. We went to the Pismo Community Christmas Tree Lighting at the pier and watched the kids have snow ball fights in the downtown parking lot on Friday night. Lot's of fun. Went on a bike ride to Avila Beach via the Bob Jones Bike Trail. Very nice. Road our bike in the San Luis Obispo Bike Happening, which is at 9:30pm on the first Thursday of the month in downtown San Luis Obispo. Quite a unique and fun experience. Checked out the butterflies at the state park. We love Pismo. Next time we stay we'll try to get a space a little farther from the hwy (we were only one space away). We heard a little road noise at night.

Pismo is our 2nd home!

We have been going to Pismo Coast Village RV Park for at least 2 years, each month so we've experienced good weather vs. bad, uncrowded vs. crowded. It's always a pleasure to stay there because the facilities are always clean & well maintained. Downtown Pismo is an easy 10 minute walk as is the pier. The Wednesday Farmer's Market at the pier is always fun to visit. Avila Beach is a short drive & San Luis Obispo is just 10 miles away. If you wish to take the train, you can take Amtrak to the Grover Beach station, which is a short 20-25 minute walk to the RV Park (thus, you can actually stay here without benefit of a car). I like that there is a small convenience store on the property as well as a small restaurant. Kids have an arcade room & plenty of summer outdoor things to keep them occupied, not to mention the pool! My wish is that they someday install a large jacuzzi with hours posted for just adults & other hours for just families.
