We have stayed at PCV many times. They have made great improvements over the years. Most recent is their Internet system. The system now truly delivers high speed (50mps) Internet without having to log on to a 3rd party provider. I do not know if they will continue such a service, but I hope so. It literally is the best Internet connection of any RV resort we have stayed at Nationwide.

Pros: THE BEACH!!! Great downtown area (bars, seafood, etc...) Great people (friendly, inviting and engaging) A few nice spacious sites Cons: Not enough nice spacious sites... Most are crammed and stacked on top of one another (and I do mean stacked)!! When I arrived, I thought that I had a nice site, until the other trailers arrived and then I realized I was boxed in on three sides!! Fortunately my neighbors were great!! I felt like we we're camping together it was so close!! If you're there and it happens to rain, you'd better hope you're not in what I called "the flood zone". I walked around the park, after a rain during my stay, and saw many sites literally in a giant puddle. If I had been in one of those sites, I would have been livid!!! I hate the mystery site assignment. You don't know what site you're going to be in until you arrive...(you might like it or you might be boxed into a hole tucked into a corner). That was not my fate, but I saw others who met with such a demise... Why not tell people what's available and let them decide if they want it or not (it's the 21st century for pete's sake, upgrade your reservation system... PLEASE. Also, concrete sites would be nice... would also be beneficial in the rain situation, because rain + dirt = mud. As my screen name suggests, I like my camp sites NICE!!! Pismo Coast would not meet that definition, but the location is hard to beat!! I can only imagine people go for the surroundings and not the accommodations (would be nice if both were stellar)!!! If you want a really nice campground nearby, try Flying Flags in Solvang. We loved that campground...and the surrounding wineries are a added bonus!!!
