After seeing so many good things about Ocean Lakes, we decided we had to see for ourselves. We were definitely not disappointed. Everything we had read and seen was true. It’s a beautiful campground! What I loved most, being a “beach person”, was that we were literally 60 feet from the sand. There was so much to see and do that we never had to leave the campground. Unfortunately, we were there before the water park opened, but we’ll definitely go back later in the year. We loved that there is a store and snack bar right on the premises. That came in very handy. We can’t wait to go back again. May have to make it a yearly thing.

Best campground around

Ocean Lakes is by far my favorite campground. You do not have to leave if you do not want to. Everything is ready and available, from food, to doing laundry, a post office, church services, recreation, fishing, swimming and the list goes on. I really appreciate your letting campers bring their own golf carts. All of the other campgrounds could learn a thing or two about how to run a campground if they would only visit!

Ocean Lakes is fantastic

We stopped at Ocean Lakes in the middle of February and we're fortunate to get a campsite for 10 nights. What a surprise for us. Ocean Lakes is by far the nicest RV park we have ever stayed in. Customer service was top notch. Our biggest surprise was the nicest bathroom and shower facilities. They were immaculate and super clean. We shall return.

Questionable return

Ocean Lakes needs to reconsider the 8 Dollar a day car fee, this fee is charged for every car entering the area regardless of time of day. If a relative or friend comes for a short evening visit they will pay the 8 Dollar fee, don’t expect many friends or relatives to stop by. I’m sure this fee helps the campground pay for security, but these home owners also pay a high amount to be here per month and should be covering this cost. At least the car fee should vary to permit short evening visits. For this reason, I would find a beach house not located at this campground again, if you have local friends or relatives in the Myrtle Beach area that may want to visit you often.
