Great time!

We stayed in one of the rental trailers and had a great time! As always, the staff was helpful and friendly. The trailer was clean and ready for us ahead of check-in time. It was easy to add two extra nights to the end our stay. The location is great, it's a 5 minute walk (at the most; depending on campsite) to the beach and just a short drive to a Kroger, Walmart, Tanger Outlet and many other stores and restaurants. The beach is pretty quiet too. Great Ethiopian food at Redi Et, in downtown Myrtle Beach. Only complaint is that the internet was spotty the entire time we were there. It seems like the internet has been more reliable in previous stays.

Review Of Labor Day Weekend Trip
0 % of users found this review helpful
We returned home yesterday from our annual camping trip to Myrtle Beach Travel Park. It was an enjoyable stay for the most part, but I was concerned about the number of camping units that were allowed on sites, a need for a better traffic pattern in the beach sites, and the lack of tissue in the men's shower room on Florida Avenue. I thought the limit of camping units was one on any site. Site 20 had a travel trailer and two tents and what appeared to be a lot more than eight people. I would recommend that to prevent two-way traffic except on Florida Ave., that one-way directional signs and do not enter signs be posted at the entrance to each avenue. The Florida Ave. men's shower room was emptied of all toilet tissue on Sunday night (Aug. 31) before 8 p.m. and it had not been replaced by 10:30 a.m. on Monday (Sept. 1). One of the primary reasons we began staying at Myrtle Beach Travel Park as opposed to Apache Campground just up the road was the control over the number of units and people on each site, the traffic flow and the cleanliness. MBTP is such a great place. I would hate to see it decline to anything close to Apache.

Love this park...

We have visited here for several years now and have always had a lovely experience. When our kids were young there was a lot of activities planned to keep then busy, the facilities are always clean, the staff is always friendly. Very close to Tanger and groceries, restaurants, etc... but when you're in the park, it feels like civilization is 100 miles away! Lovely getaway w/ kids and pets and We continue to come back year after year.
