We have stayed at the Mission Bay RV resort in the past and while it is in a fantastic location of San Diego, we were extremely disappointed on this visit with the condition of the bathrooms, specifically the showers/public restrooms. It seems that the facility is aging without updating. In addition, while the management warns that the Wi-Fi is not always reliable, it turns out that it is basically non-existent, along with the cable TV which did not function at all. We asked other campers if their cable TV was working and they also said it was not. All in all, a very disappointing return to this RV resort.

We depend upon the internet to get things done when we travel. It was almost unusable. It was a busy weekend so everyone was on it, but we wished we had stayed somewhere else because of it.

Although, we had to cut our trip short due to weather (having two little boys and a lab locked up in a RV all day is not conducive to a successful vacation) - we enjoyed our stay at MBRR. the staff was super friendly and the spots are larger then the 'other' RV park. The one thing that we found so odd was that the RV park is surrounded by a mobile home ghost town. When I read and signed our paperwork prior to our visit, it was mentioned that vacant homes are property of the city and trespassing is forbidden. We had no idea that the "boardwalk' is rows and rows of old, fragile trailer homes. I have heard that they will all be scraped and new resort developed - let's hope. At close to $100 a night, it's not the prettiest scenery. However, that said, our boys had a great time and we met some great "perm residents". We look forward to visiting again, we know now what to expect. PS: some grass in the pet area would be ideal - our pretty princess (LOL) will not "go" on dirt and the grass area is a designated non-pet area.

Big rig friendly, Wonderful staff and security personnel. Bathrooms and showers were clean, but very out dated and the stalls were very confining. One Issue was our TV cable didn't work and we asked for staff to check it. I was told the system was working, so it must be my rig. I ended up taking the back TV out and hooking it directly to the outside cable and still no TV. The RV park is close to walking & biking trails around mission bay, and you are very close to Sea World, USS Midway and Old town. They do not have bike or paddle board rentals on site but we rented bikes from a service they recommended and they were delivered to our campsite at a reasonable rate. They have fire ring rentals and will deliver wood and ice to your site. There is not much in the camp checking building as far as supplies and the check in location is pretty far from the actually campground area. Again, all the staff members I dealt with were wonderful.
