The "Best" in Columbia RV Parks
0 % of users found this review helpful
This is a park like no other I've visited in my 50+ years of campinf/RVing. A very family oriented park with all one would want for relaxation at the park and shopping a very short distance from ones site. A park you'll want to return to time and time again.

Very Nice Stay
100 % of users found this review helpful
We decided to check out Columbia for the 4th of July. Seeing the reviews we elected for Marble Quarry. Check in was easy and in short time we were pulling into site #81. We were very pleased with our sites shade as temps were above 100 all 3 days of our stay and we were a very short walk to the pool and showers. As you can imagine the place was completely full for the holiday weekend and some big trailers had a hard time manuevering with so many vehicles and trees to get around. On the flip side though they had a great rec. area with volley ball, horseshoes, tether ball, pool, and playground. We enjoyed the short walk to the historic Columbia. (watch out for the stage coaches) The bathrooms could use a lil remodel but afterall it is camping. Overall we had a great time and even made our reservations for next year.

Memoria lday tent space #4
100 % of users found this review helpful
We chose the Marble Quarry for tent camping on Memorial day weekend - at the last minute. Getting out of the city is invaluable, finding a campsite before the holiday weekend: priceless!! Considering we decided on Wednesday, to camp Friday, Saturday and Sunday - we were not overly prepared, we only brought the tent, sleeping bags, chairs, ice chest and the dog!! We were pleasantly surprised at the availability in the Quarry, the fact they allow pets, and the convenience to all the gold Country has to offer. The quarry is amazing, lush trees and mountainous hospitality in a natural setting, with a walking path leading to Columbia State Park, and with camper offerings such as fire pits to rent, and wood bundles to buy and burn. Sign is was a breeze, the hostess was very welcoming, and the site we were assigned was great!! We got site # 4 which included a table, water and electricity hook ups and a huge oak tree for shade and shelter (we were very thankful for that big ole tree as it sprinkled a few times). The neighbors camping in Site # 5 for the weekend were equally welcoming and amazing: since we did not plan very far ahead, we did not have wood to burn, or any cooking apparatus other than the hot dog roasters - the neighbors offered and continued helping us with our wood supply, sharing their wonderful food (steak, fried catfish, homemade mariscos!!) and general consideration that we were comfortable and enjoying the adventure - we will be back to visit our new friends (that consideration is non-existent where I live: Los Angeles). There are about 10 tent sites total, all together in one nice flat area with alot of trees surrounding it, making it appear like a grove - and not too far from the restroom. The most interesting feature of tent camping at the Quarry was the other people who camp here, being kind, compassionate & helping to lend a community feel and a general holiday atmosphere. Bring the tent, the dog, the kids and bug spray - the mosquitoes are huge!!

Marble Quarry RV Park

Despite the rain, we enjoyed our stay Marble Quarry RV Park and were able to visit Columbia's recreation of an old western town that was within walking distance. Having wi-fi internet available at our camp site was wonderful, in addition to the full hook-ups. The camp sites were also spacious and clean.
