Great Place to Stay
100 % of users found this review helpful
My wife and I have stayed at Maple Leaf many times over several years and our experience has always been excellent. A previous reviewer marked the park down for a one-time incident that could have happened anywhere and should not reflect badly on the park itself. It is extremely clean and well kept, the sites have concrete pads with grass at the sides and the facilities are exemplary. Although there are lots of permanent residents, their sites are clean and there is no evidence of the junky appearance that some parks allow. We have never had any problems with our WiFi connection, although we can't vouch for the more remote areas; we usually stay fairly near the office. Morgan Hill is a delightful town, and it is not too far to San Jose and the rest of the San Francisco Bay area. This is one of the premier tourist areas of the country, so one should not have any trouble finding interesting things to do. There is excellent shopping within a five-minute drive of the park. Although there is a railroad track about a quarter-mile from the park, we have never been bothered by the noise, especially at night when the commuter train is not running. One would be hard pressed to find a nicer place to stay in the southern San Francisco Bay area.

Maple Leaf = NOT

Maple Leaf is a large clean park that is well set up. It has easy access to shopping, restaurants and 101 fwy, but not noisy. There are two issues, the internet was extremely slow, basic not usable. And, there are many permanent spots with farm workers. This would not be an issue for me, but our first night we watched the police take our neighbor away in handcuffs. There were 3 police cars, too much drama for me. The wife does not want to go back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
