Our first experience with Lake Waldenac Resort was nothing short of awesome. The staff was professional, the campground very well maintained and clean and the sites were functional, complete with a cement pad for the picnic tables. The bathrooms were immaculately well kept and there was plenty of hot water in the showers. There were enough washers and dryers in the laundry room to go around. Although small the swimming area was clear and safe for ourselves and our son age 7. Fishing was good as wildlife watching - we saw alligators, white herons and sandhill cranes right from our campsite. The campground is just minutes away from the city of Ocala where any of your needs can be met, and from the Silver Springs tourits attraction. If you ask at the office, staff can give you a discount coupon for admission to Silver Springs which saves you around $50. An hour's drive due east puts you right on Ormond Beach. Park your car on the beach for five bucks or do what we did and camp on the beach for the day in your RV (still just five dollars). Lake Waldena Resort made our first camping experience in Florida a pleasantly unforgettable experience. The incredibly reasonable rate of $25 per night for full hookups was a bonus. We can't wait to go back.

Lake Waldena resort is a friendly simple, value priced campground for over fifty-five travelers. There are many seasonal campers from all over the US and Canada who are more than willing to make new friends by welcoming newcomers whether they are staying for short visit or longer rest. The recreation program offers something for everyone......Pool, shuffleboard, horseshoes,cards, bingo, dances and offsite trips such as bowling, deep sea fishing, gambling cruises, concerts at Silver Springs Water Park etc.. In spite of the fact the internet service is a bit slow this is an excellent campground to relax and enjoy Florida.

We loved our first trip with our Travel Trailer at Lake Waldena! It was quiet, friendly, and CLEAN. We took our bicycles along and enjoyed riding around the park meeting new campers. We will return... soon. Thank-you.
