Description
The scenic landscape of central New York is at your doorstep when you stay at Lake Bluff Campground in Wolcott, near the shores of the Great Lake Ontario. Easy to find from I-90 off of Hwy 414, the campground enjoys close proximity to many area attractions, and offers guests the finest resort-quality facilities. Open from April 15 through October 31, a full schedule of activities awaits the entire family, as well as spacious RV sites, cozy rental cabins and tent camping.
An online reservation system makes for easy vacation planning at the secluded camp, which boasts a sparkling swimming pool, basketball courts, stocked fishing pond and hiking and nature trails. A group camping area makes Lake Bluff Campground a perfect location for rallies, clubs and reunions. The property is only two miles from the Chimney Bluff State Park, on the shores of Lake Ontario, with egg-shaped hills and spires that rise above the earth, some of the most stunning natural formations that can be seen along the Lake.
The Seaway Trail, with an access point just a short drive from camp, affords travelers the opportunity to drive, walk, bike or boat along the scenic coast of north central New York. Remember to stop at the Old Sodus Lighthouse Museum along the way, for magnificent views of Sodus Bay. For history buffs, the Fort Ontario State Historic Site reveals military life in the mid-1800s, with costumed interpreters telling the stories of officers, enlisted men and their families, and these are only a few options for excursions and fun during your stay at the idyllic Lake Bluff Campground.

Home away from Home

This is our 12th year at LBC. We love it there and when we are out at the campground we don't want to go home. The only things we could suggest are a few more street lights and we know Greg & Kelly, that drainage (from storm water) is an issue. It would be a major investment but with putting in gravel and perforated flex lines below grade and slopping them east to the creek and west to the ponds would take away a lot of water quickly after the heavy rains. Otherwise, we are very satisfied with LBC. You folks are doing a good job! Have a nice winter.

Great place "but"
0 % of users found this review helpful
First time visit with my family..we enjoyed everything about this park with one major exception. My siblings and myself had three lots, 63-65. The bathroom was close which was a plus, but the dumpster was closer and that was a problem. The lots were clean, well kept and spacious. But the dumpsters need to be emptied more often. We arrived on Friday and left on Monday. The dumpsters were full by saturday afternoon and the smell was TERRIBLE. On Saturday night, we had to end our "fire time" early because the wind was blowing the stench directly on our lots. I know you cant control the amount of garbage, but more timely emptying of the dumpsters, or moving the locations will go a long way in determining if we return. POOL-GREAT; SHUFFLEBOARD-GREAT; WAGON RIDE ON FRIDAY-GREAT; FROG POND-GREAT; The dumpster being right next to the bathroom and 50 yards from our campsite--TERRIBLE

Fun

We were camping with the Fireman Appreciation weekend. The owners were very curtious and were very friendly. The campsite was a great site and we had space between us and the next campsite. Was an enjoyable weekend. Will definitely be back next year for the appreciation weekend and will be back this summer for a family weekend.

Great place to camp

The owners and employees of LBC make you feel at home in this wonderful campground. The grounds are kept nice and the bathrooms are amazingly clean for as many people that use them. chimney Bluffs is a great park that is just up the road with an awesome trail.
