Description
Tucked away in the rolling hills of western Pennsylvania, Kozy Rest Kampground offers guests all the amenities of a first class camping facility. Open April 15 through October 31, this full-service campground has plenty of spacious RV sites, as well as tent sites, rental cabins and yurts. The surrounding woods provide the peace and quiet for getting back to nature, while the sparkling pool, mini golf, wagon rides and other features give campers a never-ending supply of on-site activities.
For the outdoor enthusiast, the nearby Clear Creek State Forest is a nature lover's dream come true, with 21 miles of trails and scenic river views along the Allegheny River Tract. Lake Arthur, located in the Moraine State Park, just eight miles from camp, is a water sport paradise, with rental canoes, paddleboats, motor boats, pontoon boats and sailboats available to the public. The fishing on the lake is excellent, and horseback riding and hiking through the park gives visitors an up close glimpse of the spectacular wildlife and plants of western Pennsylvania.
Kozy Rest is the perfect base camp from which to explore the historic, thriving Pennsylvania Dutch and Amish communities of Volant and New Wilmington, with plenty of shops featuring handmade goods and delicious baked goods to stop at along the way. The charming town of Harrisville, a short distance from camp, is another great excursion for fine restaurants and quaint boutiques in a beautiful historic setting. Whether you venture into the state parks, meander through the lovely towns, or stay on-site and enjoy nature at its finest, Kozy Rest Kampground is the ideal spot for your next camping vacation.

Kozyrest 2012--1

My families overall first time experience at kozyrest was a good one. everyone there was so very nice and more than happy to talk to you. Bob was the first person to greet us and he was awsome. Bob your a great person I enjoyed talking to you, thank you. we were very impressed with the bathrooms very nice.
I think there are only two minor things you all need to improve on and thats 1-make sure your equipment is functioning properl we had an issue with the train engine starting and 2--maybe let people know that kozyrest gives a discount for AAA members before we pay, I had no idea until I asked half way through our visit but, was told it was to late to do anything about it. how about giving us 20% off our visit this June instead of only 10% just this time please?
all in all we had a good time.

We've made it to Kozy Rest once or twice a year since we started camping in 2007, the trip this past weekend was terrific as usual. The staff and facilities at Kozy Rest are top notch and we're looking forward to coming back again.

Nice Clean and Friendly!
0 % of users found this review helpful
The Campground itself is VERY Level, lots of gravel,so that really cuts down on the tracking of dirt into your unit! The facilites were VERY clean and WELL maintained! The staff as well as other campers were VERY friendly! The campground was VERY quiet and peaceful, realaxing, had tons of stuff for the kids to do including a nice playground, wagon ride and train ride! Even though the weather was less than pleasant, we had a great time! Would reccommend for the family athmosphere, slightly pricier than some other campgrounds, but they do a GREAT job of having a clean well maintained campround!

We stayed 2 weekends at the Kozy Rest Kampground (Yogi Bear) in Harrisville. We had a great time. There was not only activities for children but also adults. It was a comfortable atmosphere, and a very nicely cleaned park. Everybody made sure to clean up after their own pets. I didn't have to worry about stepping in dog mess. Everybody also kept the noise level down. There was no loud music, no kids running around screaming and disturbing anybody. I don't have anything bad to say about the place. They have a great place for dogs to run and let off some steam also. The dog run also kept my dogs worn out so they slept pretty much all weekend. I want to thank everybody for making our 2 weekends a great visit. We will be returning very soon.
