Description
Tucked away in the rolling hills of western Pennsylvania, Kozy Rest Kampground offers guests all the amenities of a first class camping facility. Open April 15 through October 31, this full-service campground has plenty of spacious RV sites, as well as tent sites, rental cabins and yurts. The surrounding woods provide the peace and quiet for getting back to nature, while the sparkling pool, mini golf, wagon rides and other features give campers a never-ending supply of on-site activities.
For the outdoor enthusiast, the nearby Clear Creek State Forest is a nature lover's dream come true, with 21 miles of trails and scenic river views along the Allegheny River Tract. Lake Arthur, located in the Moraine State Park, just eight miles from camp, is a water sport paradise, with rental canoes, paddleboats, motor boats, pontoon boats and sailboats available to the public. The fishing on the lake is excellent, and horseback riding and hiking through the park gives visitors an up close glimpse of the spectacular wildlife and plants of western Pennsylvania.
Kozy Rest is the perfect base camp from which to explore the historic, thriving Pennsylvania Dutch and Amish communities of Volant and New Wilmington, with plenty of shops featuring handmade goods and delicious baked goods to stop at along the way. The charming town of Harrisville, a short distance from camp, is another great excursion for fine restaurants and quaint boutiques in a beautiful historic setting. Whether you venture into the state parks, meander through the lovely towns, or stay on-site and enjoy nature at its finest, Kozy Rest Kampground is the ideal spot for your next camping vacation.

Family Fun

Kozy Rest is a great place for family fun. Our entourage was spread over three campsites. They had many family activities throughout the weekend and provided appropriate accommodations for pet exercise. Staff was friendly and available and the campground was clean. The only thing we found even slightly concerning was the lack of a water station. Next year we will just bring more with us!

Can't wait for next season!

I brought the kids on the last weekend of the season. This was the first time we had visited the Kampground and enjoyed everything we experienced. The front office was kind and the guide took us to the site and helped us backing in (it was dark.) We participated in the painting pottery, the pizza party, and bingo. The campground had activties, which many people took advantange of. Yogi came by and said hi a few different times.
What I really enjoyed was the clean facilities. When we pulled in we quickly realized that a water line inside the camper was broken and we were without it for the weekend. We purchased a few gallons for the kitchen but enjoyed the shower house, which was only a 2 minute walk from our site. There were two shower houses on the grounds. It was clean, warm, and looked new.
Something else I liked was the sense of belonging when we would walk around the campground or stopped in the store. Everyone was friendly and asked what they could do for you. Saturday it snowed and people were out helping each other clean off awnings and starting fires in the pits. Everyone was genuinely kind.
I WILL be back several more times in the future!

Camping (in the snow)

Very nice visit to KRK. Camping in the snow is fun. Nice campground, nice and classy staff, and other campers were nice as well. Very clean restrooms and showers. A little on the 'pricey' side, but we will be back.
