Used to be better

We have stayed in this campsite before and were very disappointed this time. The new cabins have replaced all of the nice campsites and all RV and tents are now relegated to the back of the campground. We'll return because of the location but are disappointed in the downgrade.

the location of the RV park was very convenient but I have never been in a park where we were stuffed in like sardines as much as this one... not a pleasant "camping" experience

Overpriced and under achieved

I've stayed at a few RV parks and this one was a complete failure except for Cleanliness. Our site was at the rear of the park across the drive from the tent sites. I felt so sorry for the tenters because they are the furthest away from the showers, bathrooms, dumpsters and the office! Why would anyone design a park this way??? The fire pit was overgrown with weeds. There was a big hose coiled up next to our hook ups so I had to fight my way into the area each time. The sites are literally stacked on top of each other. The campers next to us literally apologized for blocking our view when they pulled in! The price is the most I've ever paid anywhere and for nothing. No pool, no amenities at all. The store maybe had 30 items in it. The check in ladies were teen age girls! I was hoping to ask about local eating options but figured I would get the best fast food drive in so I skipped it. And the worst thing was no management in site the whole 3 days we were there. Some campers pulled in at midnight and made so much noise I had to ask them to quiet down and of course they didn't. I would not darken these guys' doors ever again. Plan ahead and try to get the KOA. We drove by on the way out and it looked 10 times better than this dump. The bathrooms and showers were clean tho.

Very narrow roads and most pullthrus to short and tight for the bigger rigs. Better signage for marking of park entrance. Good distance from Jackson Hole and stores.

Campers way too close together

I have stayed in several RV parks in different states and I understand that it is usually not the most spacious situation, but the RV spots at this campground are like living in downtown New York! Our site was a standard site and when I opened the front door of our camper, I could reach out and touch the next RV. There was a tiny clump of grass with just enough space for a picnic table and that was it! Not my idea of a relaxing weekend. The other huge frustation about the campground is the signage to get there. We drove by the road you are supposed to turn on twice and could not find it. There are NO signs except a small half hidden one. The staff was ok but not exceptional and for the amount that I paid for the site to say I was expecting more would be an understatement. I definetely will not be staying there again!

We were part of a two family group and had booked two tent sites. The tent sites are in a grassy area all the way at the back of the campground and the sites are right on top of one another. In fact on of our sites, because of how the camper in the next spot set up, did not even have room for our tent. The second site had room to put two tents up, so the campground refunded us for one of the sites and let us put two families on the other one. The bathrooms are about as far from the tent sites as you can get, but they were pretty clean. We also used the laudry facility which was large and clean. The staff was friendly and accomodating, the campground was just too tightly packed and overpriced. We had also planned on our kids walking to fish on the river, but the "easy access" referred to in the add meant walking on the main road and it was not very close. The kids were dissappointed, but we were only there for a quick overnight, so it wasn't so bad. The sites we stayed in Yellowstone, were spacious, clean and half the price. This campground was not horrible, but wouldn't choose it again.

Just Looking

Overall impression was mixed -- we didn't actually use our prepaid reservation -- just ended up taking a quick drive through to see what we would be missing. Not much, as it turned out. We'd booked a tent site for a single night stay, but circumstances changed so we had to cancel -- not even a partial refund. I was prepared for that -- it was clearly stated when I booked. I still wanted to have a look-see for future reference -- glad I did: lovely looking cabins out front; but then jam-packed rows of RV sites that don't accomodate tents (we'd camped at Yellowstone with friends in an RV, all sharing one site); and a few tent spots at the far end of the property, really far from the bathrooms. The bathroom itself appeared basic, but decent. Not likely to book there again -- stiff cancellation policy and too crowded and inconvenient after being spoiled at other tent-friendlier campgrounds.

nice but pricey

The cabins are very nice. The front room was small, but large enough for just 2 people. The furniture was very nice. The bed was very comfortable and the covers were nice and cozy. We didn't cook there, but I think you could have if you wanted to. We did use the frig and the fireplace. All in all I thought it was a great place to stay. Very good location, and the Tetons are such a fabulous place to visit. Everything up there is pricey, so this probably was about as good as you could get for the price.

I made reservations to stay at what appeared to be a great RV park in June after picking up our new RV. Traveling across many states to get to destinations on a specific day can sometimes prove to be difficult. I made reservations with all intention of making it to this destination. Unfortunately, we ended up about 6 hours behind and would have had to drive through the night to arrive. I called to cancel my reservation 1 day in advance letting them know we would be unable to get that far west. The woman I spoke with made it sound as if it was no problem and understood. I assumed I would be receiving at least a partial refund. When I noted no credit on my Visa a month later, I called to question it. Her only response was "the 7 day cancellation policy is in your confirmation", "nothing I can do". I made my reservation 5 days out!! Great customer service takes care of customers regardless of policies. Sure, we could have driven through the night, but at that time we had already been on the road for 9 hours with 2 small children. I have learned a tough lesson to read reviews of RV parks before making a reservation, because they are all bad at this park. Maybe the staff could learn something from the reviews as well.

Disappointed
0 % of users found this review helpful
We reserved two nights in advance and were so disappointed we decided not to stay…Even though it meant loosing the reservation fee. The tent sights are plopped on a section of grass with picnic tables. The sights are about 15 feet apart, so there is no privacy. You can not park at your tent sight either, so you have to haul everything back and forth.
