Over priced for what you get

This is a family run campground with many rules. Some of the sites are spacious while others are very close to each other. The price of 40.00 a night is high for what little they have to offer. They have some older metal playground equipment. The lady in the office isn't very friendly. The bathrooms aren't the worst I've seen but they aren't the best. Many seasonal camp here so maybe the bathrooms aren't high on their list of things to work on. The pool was almost empty but that may have been because bees nest made it hard to be comfortable in the pool area. We had items stolen from behind our camper so we don't feel secure/safe here so we would not go back. They do give a short hayride which kids like. We had a child with us. They charge extra for that! Lots of fees and lots of rules.

Nice campground but had toys stolen

We have camped here several times. We like this campground for a nice mini vacation/short distance from home. The sites are a good size size. There isn't a lot to do in the area but our grandson does great with the playground and pool both of which are clean and well kept. The bathhouses are fairly clean but could use an up-dated look along with heat and a/c. We camped there for Halloween weekend. The owners did a great job of holding the festivities inside due to rain. The kids were able to have a parade and trick or treat inside the large hall. Later on in the evening the campground hosted a gathering with treats, drinks and music. The only thing I am disappointed in is that someone took an entire bag of toys that belonged to our grandson. We have never had anything taken before while camping. It was a large tote bag that was left in the pavilion just behind our campsite. It was left there while we went up to the hall and we had plans to go back to play with a friend of his after the gathering. Someone picked up and left with a "Camping World" bag filled with toys....a large car carrier and 6 cars, a large dump truck, a set that consisted of a dump truck and digger and several match box cars. This is no fault of the campground. We are just very disheartened that this happened while camping with fellow campers. The car carrier and cars he has been playing with since he was a baby. He will be 4 soon. I had planned to save this for him when he got older. I am not sure how someone can take an entire bag of toys home and not feel guilty. We are still hoping it will get turned into the office and returned to questions asked. Owen is missing his "vehicles" he told us. We will go back to this campground but in the future we will put everything away and lock up tight even when walking around the loop. I hope this isn't the future of camping...
