Everyone was extremely friendly. Stayed for 30days, had no issues really. I would definitely go back. Only thing I didn't like is the bathhouse shower water is very smelly. Sulfur water for sure. You get use to it after a few minutes though :) beats not having a shower so there's that.

We really wanted to be closer to our friend's place, as we spent almost all day every day with them in Marietta. We did enjoy returning to the quiet, scenic setting by the lake and discovered a few gems to visit on our way into Marietta - one being the Civil War and Locomotive Museum in nearby Kennesaw. We would stay there again!

Beautiful Natural Area
0 % of users found this review helpful
Once you get past the front where the marina and office is, the campground is beautifully natural. Our spot, #15, was both waterfront and nicely shaded. Campsites are large and separated by trees. The campground is mostly quiet. Even the train that crosses on the nearby trestle bridge in the evening has a special kind of soothing sound. Being right on a large lake the sound of boats can occasionally be heard as well. However, the beauty and serenity we enjoyed here left the outside world noises miles away. When we return to the Acworth area we hope our favorite spot is available for us again!
