Christmas @ Holiday Cove

My wife, my self and 2 dogs enjoyed a weeks vacation in the resort over the week of Christmas 2010. The site is well situated, having excellent restaurants both within walking distance or a short drive. Generally the whole area is an excellent vacation spot. We were camped on the north canal, beautiful, I like taking photographs and captured some excellent wild life images. My dogs enjoyed the walks around the park, the dog areas had boat trailers parked on them, so they were not as "useful" as they could be. The swimming pool and it's area is excellent, clean, water kept reasonably warm, enjoyed using that facility most afternoons. The facilities for showering etc were clean and well maintained. We had a very pleasant week, and would probably return this winter for another weeks vacation.

This is not a kid friendly park. Would not even let the children throw a nerf football in the street. Had the lot for a month, wanted our daughter and her children to stay a week, not with us, instead of us (we were working) and had to pay extra for them, said we were "sub-leasing". Positive note, it is clean, boat ramp, convenient, but not going back this summer. We would possibly return but only for weekends, not extended stays trying to entertain grandchildren.

Anna Maria Island is one of the most beautiful island in Florida. Holiday Cove RV Resort across the bridge about 3/4 mile. We have visited Holiday Cove every year beginning since 2001. The first year we stayed for 3 weeks in March. We had such a great time, we decided that we would return the following winter. Each year we increased our stay and now we are there for 3 months; January, February & March. Every year it gets better. Three years ago a complete "overhaul" of the park was completed. It has become one of the best in the country! The park is full of exciting things to do every winter. Six couples have purchased inflatable boats with engines. We call our group "Holiday Cove Yacht Club". We take trips out into the Intercoastal waterway, stopping along the way for lunch. Sometimes we pack a lunch & sit on Beer Can island. We walk the shore looking for shells or just sit and enjoy the view. We also take trips to one of several water front restaurants. The area is full of great places to eat, shopping is close and anything else is very convenient!

As good as it gets

I spent a week at Holiday Cove in September 2009 with two friends from Europe, and I can say without hesitation I haven't been to a nicer RV park before or since then. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we extended our initial reservation from three nights to the whole week and skipped the rest of our road trip. From the helpful greeter Paul to the gorgeous pad on the water, the pool and the clubhouse (perfect for catching football games on Saturday!), Holiday Cove does everything right. It's convenient to Bradenton and directly across the street from a great little ice cream shop and the Cortez Kitchen, which is legendary in those parts for good reason (try the grouper sandwich). I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Holiday Cove again, and I'm fairly certain that I'll be making another reservation soon. If you're clicking around looking for a good place to stay in SW Florida, just stop now and find the "Make a Reservation" button. You've found your RV park!

This was our first time to west central Florida. It was an awesome experience. We could only stay 10 days in Jan. 25, 2010 but will go back again. The RV park is an easy bike ride or walk to the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. Beaches are white sand and very clean. Holiday Cove RV Resort is the best we've seen. They are close to shopping in nearby Bradenton. Dining in the area is only a short walk to the best seafood around. Known for it's fishing village you can purchase many different kinds of seafood to take back to your RV to grill. We would recommend to anyone!!! We have a 39' motorhome and their park has enough room with nice patio area and room for your tow car. Thanks for this opportunity to review. The Lanes

Better than my expectations!

We had just bought our first RV and Holiday Cove was our first destination. Having never stayed at an RV park before we really didn't know what to expect. My wife and I don't have kids, 3 dogs though that are our kids. We we're hoping that Holiday Cove was quiet and clean. We were blown away with just how well kept the park was. The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating to us. They assisted me in backing-up our RV into our spot, which was very helpful. Their staff picked up the trash every hour or so during business hours. We were along the canal in the back and had the luck of seeing a manatee swim by. Just a very short drive over the drawbridge was Anna Maria Island. This island and it's waters are absolutely beautiful. The beaches were nicely kept and the sand is the softest I've ever felt, it's quartz. Our stay was so relaxing and wonderful and we look forward to staying there for 2 weeks next April. I highly recommend Holiday Cove. The price was very reasonable. Having stayed at a few other RV parks since then I can say that Holiday Cove was the best by far and I'm not sure that any other park can come close.

We first visited Holiday Cove shortly after purchasing our first Class A coach. We ended up going back several weeks in a row and quickly rented for the rest of the summer and moved up to a newer larger coach. During the winter we purchased a lot in the resort. We found that we really didn't want to go anywhere else. Yes, we have stayed at a few nicer resorts but they were too far of a drive for weekends and at Holiday Cove we always have a fun time because we know everyone. We even traded our class A for a large 5th wheel as our official weekend house. Sites are nice and the other people are very friendly regardless of if site owners or renters. The best value is the proximity to Anna Maria Island as you can walk if so inclined. The area has something for all people from being 15 miles from St. Armands Circle shopping and dining to quaint little hole in the wall places. The kids love the pool at the resort and sometimes prefer it to the beach. Maybe because it's always clean and there are no jellyfish. We aren't really "campers" so we like the brick paver sites and paved roads. Just like with any real estate RV'ing the key is location, location, location and a good time.
