FREE FISHING

We really enjoyed our stay here. We are on a lakeside site that is level. It's quiet, shady, lots of grass and the fishing in a nice lake is free because it has too many fish - a fisherman's dream. The staff is very friendly, accommodating and helpful. We will definitely stay here again. $25 per night for a 50A full hook-up pull through site. I wish there were many more RV parks like this!

Being as we,are new to the R.V. scene, we couldn't have picked a better campground. The owner helped me hook up to all the amenities and even borrowed us charcoal for our dinner! I can't say enough about the service and how great my family's experience was. Thanks, Tammy

First trip to the Champaign area
0 % of users found this review helpful
This was our first visit to the area, we were there to visit a friend and found out he was only 10 minutes from the campground, it was right off the interstate and we found it to be really quiet and peaceful, even though we weren't there long enough to enjoy the amenities we are looking forward to going back and spending more time. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone traveling by RV...any size there, for the first time we were led by the owner to our spot, and also asked if we needed any help to hook up as we are handicapped, we really didn't need any help and were left to enjoy our stay, they also picked up garbage every morning and waved to you as they went going by.

Our visit was short but this was a very nice place to stay close to I 57 but not to close to hear any interstate traffic noise. restrooms where very clean. nice people to deal with as far as making our stay very enjoyable. I would go there again sometime when I want a short get away from home.

Great Location!

We stayed at this campground for the first time in April 2012 when I ran the Illinois Marathon at University of Illinois. The campground is very close to the University, but yet is rural enough that you still feel like you're camping. Both interstates are close, and the sites are wide enough that we could park our motorhome with 2 slideouts and van and we still had plenty of room between our camper and our neighbor's. The campground was completely full, but it was still quiet and we loved that most campsites had views of the lake. We will definitely stay here the next time we are in the Champaign area.

The grounds were well maintained and the campsite guests was quiet at night. The grass was well trimmed and the campsite was free of debris. The manager was very helpful. The only complaint I had was the shower curtains were a little mildewy. Also the site is a close to the highway so there was some traffic noise throughout the night, but otherwise the site was excellent. I would definitely recommend this to others.

Wonderful Place

We have been camping at D&W for 2 years. We found it on the internet, and liked the atmosphere and location. We bought a larger camper last year, and we now store it year around at D & W. Plus we tailgate for all the U of I games. Our grown children use it as a weekend getaway since they live in a condo. Love the cedar bath house. Use it instead of our camper bathroom. So nice to have sewer, water, and internet. Everyone is so friendly. We feel like we're going home each time we arrive.

Outstanding experience

The staff was there immediately to assist us when we entered the park. We were escorted to our "spot" and was told if we had any problem during the night, needed a doctor, or if any other emergency occurred, we could use their car, phone or whatever else we might need. The park is very clean, quiet and has all the ammenities one could ask for. We look forward to visiting it again. Oh, and our two dogs loved it!!!
