Great experience
100 % of users found this review helpful
Stayed at campground in Sept, 2011. Nicest campsite we have ever had - and that includes many cross country trips and campgrounds to see our youngest in CA. Alot of extras we have not seen in other campgrounds- our fire pit was cleaned daily, our chairs were put under our awning and our firewood covered while we were out for the day and it rained. We are planning a trip back to Cooperstown next year with grandchildren just to stay at this campground.

Terrific camground

Stayed Labor Day weekend after campground was flooded by Hurricane Irene. The campground did an amazing job cleaning up the campground in a few short days. All facilities were spotless. You would never have known all the damage they had except for photos on Facebook. We were prepared to have to cancel but sure glad we didn't have to. Have decided to be a repeat camper and considering a month stay in 2012. I forgot a few camping items and campground store had everything we needed except for 1 item that the Owner even picked up for us at local grocery store. Service above and beyond!

unusual circumstance after the IRENE storm. roads were a mess and the bottom of the campground was flooded. owners were very nice and got us a differnt place...RESTROOMS were not cleaned in our 3 nights there. SHOWERS are horrible and barely a trickle of water. GROSS, GROSS, GROSS. the last night we were there, OBNOXIOUS people were in a cabin...let their dog run all over [no patrol in the camp] and the lady literally took a bath in the sink. SO GROSS AND OBNOXIOUS. should pay way more attention to the details that matter.

We got to Shadow Brook at the end of the season in October. It was raining and our site was very water logged. We had to dodge a big puddle. The manager was out sick. This is probably a great park in the summer time. We had a beautiful view of the lake. If we'd come in the summer maybe we would have had a better experience. I wish them well.

Rustic With All the Amenities
100 % of users found this review helpful
The owners of this campground are super-accommodating and made our stay a good one. The campground was, in many ways, reminiscent of the best of State parks--woodsy and rural--yet offered most modern amenities. Full hookup and a good, large, gravel pad made our stay comfortable and clean. Laundry facilities were clean and in working order. Rest rooms were also clean, though I did not check shower facilities. Pool was clean and inviting-looking. WiFi reception was good. No TV reception was available. We stayed in a 33' motor home and would absolutely (and will) return.

Good campground. Great site directly on the pond, thou small for our 28 ft RV. Fishing right from sight. Great night view of pnd with the campfire burnig. Convenient to Baseball Hall of Fame and other things that Cooperstown has to offer.

Clean, scenic, accommodating. Will highly recommend. Great family atmosphere. Great location to camp at while visiting Cooperstown. Give yourself an extra day or so. Lots to do in the area. Will definitely come back and stay here.

Excellent Stay

For Memorial day weekend my family decided to try out Shadow Brook. We had heard good things previously through other family members. Our stay was wonderful. The staff is so kind, friendly, and really go above and beyond to make your stay here the best they can. The facilities seemed as if they were always just cleaned. I can't say enough about Shadow Brook. We will definitely return soon.
