Description

Beautiful trees and sparkling lakes and rivers provide the setting for California's Coachland RV Park in historic Truckee. Located in the High Sierras near Highway 89 and Interstate 80, our serene campsite is the perfect spot for a family vacation or a relaxing getaway. Check our online reservations system to find the perfect time for your next visit.

Visit us in the winter and see the snow. Make a trip to nearby Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, or one of the other world class ski resorts in the area and enjoy a day of skiing, sledding or snow boarding. Summer brings its own fun with swimming and fishing at Truckee River, Donner Lake or Prosser Lake. There&#s also nearby boat rentals and launches along with camp-sponsored pancake breakfasts and barbeques.

Just twenty minutes away is Lake Tahoe. Dine out at one of their numerous restaurants, visit an art gallery, or play some blackjack at a casino. Take a scenic hike up Tahoe Rim trail or see the Flume Ride trail on bike. Our local and nearby sights coupled with our beautiful grounds, onsite laundry room, propane filling station, and vehicle washing area, make Coachland RV Park one of the best places to experience California camping.

The park is clean, and well laid out. However, they will bump you to another spot, even if you have specified that is where you want to be. We made reservations well in advance, with friends to stay a weekend, taking care to make sure our sites were all together for our stay. For the convenience of meals, and our children/dogs it is very important. The guests in those spots previous decided to stay, and instead of asking them to move, the office just "bumped" us, and we were not close anymore. Our small children were then running back and forth, and our meals planned were not successful.

Management Response
This was a complicated misunderstanding. The reservation confirmation clearly states that site assignments are subject to change. The site that extended had been in a week and wanted 2 more weeks and did not want to move. Your friends checked in the day before you and were given a couple of options on sites to be together. They never mentioned that they had to be next to your site, and you were not linked to their reservation. Your site (as confirmed) is the nicest, largest, most requested site in the Park. Your friends were only 3 sites away from you. We look forward to your soccer group and donate $250 to sponser your event in Truckee. We attempt to make everybody's stay enjoyable and apologize for the need to relocate your friends. They were happy with their sites (one even extended) as were everyone in your group that we spoke to. Paula Ganley, Owner, Coachland RV Park

Overall, a good experience

Management was very accommodating to our late arrival. We found a site and settled in for the evening. The park was quiet in the evening. We weren't bothered by parties or other noise. The neighbor in the adjoining site even lent us a pressure regulator for the water supply. I was rather surprised at how other guests left a mess in the bathroom. It was clear the bathroom was being maintained, but I guess some people are just sloppy when they don't have to clean up after themselves. The park is just a few minutes from downtown Truckee, so stores and cafes were close by. Overall, a pleasant stay. We'll be back.

Management Response
Thank you for your comments. We are sorry to hear that the restrooms were left messy by another inconsiderate party. Our staff cleans the restrooms daily, and checks the restrooms periodically during the day to see that they remain clean, but it is difficult for them to check up after each use. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again in the future. Paula Ganley-Owner-Coachland RV Park
