Clays Park Cabin Rentals

Our family stayed in the smaller of the cabin rentals. We are a family of 5 and we were plenty comfortable. You have to bring everything you could possibly want or need so do a lot of preplanning. I suggest a packing list. Bed clothes, cooking supplies and food, personals, recreation, fire wood ect... We rolled in looking like the Bumpises from the Christmas story but it was well worth it! The check in staff was friendly and quick, the cabin was clean. They were next to the bath house which was also clean. At the water park there are so many inflatable’s its amazing. Free canoeing and kayaking. The Wet Willie slides were great and the swinging rings were fun! The zip line was intimidating at first but great fun. After the park closes we would head back to the guest in-door pool for more swimming. The only down side to the amenities was the hot tub, sauna and steam room were out of service. But we had plenty to do!! The only down side to the entire trip was we didn't have more money to stay longer! We'll be back!

I worked with Stephanie in the group department and she was a pleasure to work with. We had 11 sites and 63 people camping for the weekend. We participated in the parade, swam in the lake and went to hear the DJ. The only negative thing I have to say is the showers need work they do not drain well.

My friends and I are late 20's early 30's, some with small children, some with none, and it's perfect for us! The non-children can go up to the bar and listen to the live band and drink, plus buy some drinks on the beach and it's just a fun time to swim with the kids! I love the water slide! My pregnant friend went down it 15 times! It's cheap too! $20 a night and you get access to a swimming beach with inflatable toys, pool, sauna, a DJ, putt putt, kayaks..everyone is so friendly too! Only down side would be, it's difficult to get sites together, we've gotten them together all past times, but we have to flirt a little with the front desk ladies! haha

Family fun in the sun...

My husband and I took our children (age 2 1/2 and 9 months) camping in a tent for a few days at Clays... we had taken groups of teens to the park before, but never camped overnight. Heads up, the price quoted for a site only includes two people... it's an extra fee per person per day for extra people (like $13?), which includes access to all the water activities. Overall we were pleased and enjoyed our time. The bathrooms weren't horrible, but not amazing either. Definitely a more rustic shower time (have to pull the string the entire time during the shower). Anyway, as several other people mentioned, you can request shade or specific sites, but they can't guarantee anything... we got one tree. As far as getting electric, there were four outlets to be shared among four campsites, and only one water spout. Do-able, but not amazing. The customer service was really good (there is someone with a golf cart to show you where your site is), and it does offer a wide range of activities for almost every age. Overall it was a good experience!
