Enjoyed Campsite and would return

We stayed at Cheerful Valley as we were attending a concert near by. The location was great, and the the staff was very helpful. We were tenting and found that the site space was great and close to the washrooms which were very clean. It was also very quiet. We would most definately stay here again. We love the finger lake district and this site is in a great area to be able to see the country side and take in the beauty this area has too offer.

We chose this campground because it is close to work and gives a time to camp and still make a few days of work. We were looking for a 50amp full hook up. All the campground is set up for 30amp or less except two pull through sites. We were lucky enough to to get one of them near the store/office. There are some seasonal sites. All are kept in nice shape As an earlier reviewer indicated the campground is set on a hill and some of the site look like leveling may be a problem. The sites are slightly treed so satellite reception shouldn't be a problem. The staff was friendly and helpful. The road into the campground is a little rough and the interior roads are gravel. Most of the sites are grass. Power seamed consistent. Local TV reception is limited. We stayed here in a 5th wheel and would come back.

We only spent one night at the campground but we got service that we have only received in a few places. We found ourselves with the wrong kind of plug in and went to the office to find out if there was some kind of adaptor we could buy. The manager said that we could buy something but offered to lend us an adaptor if we wanted since we would probably never need it again. She said that we could just put it in the mailbox the next morning since we were leaving early. It was so gratifying to be trusted. The campground itself was lovely and clean with lots of beautiful grounds.

We really enjoyed the campground as the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only big problem with the campground was that most of the sites are on a hill and therefore not very level. Even though I always bring lots of leveling blocks I still had to go to Lowe's and pick up a 2x4 cut into pieces so I could raise the trailer enough to level it. Besides this the campground was very clean and conveniently located. The store also was well stocked.
