A great base for touring the area.

We stayed three nights at Centennial RV park outside Montrose, CO. It was listed in Passport America, so we stayed at a discount, but it was well worth the regular price. When we arrived, there was a problem finding our reservation, but the campground host was very helpful and solved the problem (computers!!). While staying here we visited The Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, the Gunnison Gorge Wilderness Area, the Bachelor-Syracuse Mine in Ouray,CO, the old mining town of Telluride,CO. where I hiked up to Bridal Veil Falls, and the city of Montrose, CO.
We stayed here in our 32 foot RV and really enjoyed the extra large sites. This campground has a lot of space...the roads are nice and wide and the entrance area was huge compared to some places we've been. The facilities were nice and clean and free Wi-Fi was available. The view of the distant mountains was beautiful.
We very much enjoyed our experience there and would recommend this campground to people wanting to stay in the area. If we ever go back, we'll be looking for Centennial RV Park.
