While enroute home to PA from a trip to Florida, our truck, towing a travel trailer, broke down on Route 50 near the Bay Bridge Tunnel in Maryland. After enduring nearly five hours of 95+ degree heat, we were finally towed; the truck to a garage, the trailer to the Capital KOA Campground. Upon arrival at the campground on the tow truck, the campground staff provided a nice site that was easily accessable to the tow truck. The office staff made check in easy and enjoyable. Neighboring campers offered to help with set up and one even provided the remainder of his large, fresh, warm pizza so we wouldn't have to make dinner. In addition, one of the camp workers, upon finding out we needed propane, took the tank, filled it and returned in about 15 minutes. Then he helped put it on the trailer and hooked it up. Of course, we faced the concern of getting the truck once repairs were completed. Sue, one of the office staff, offered the assistance of her husband with getting the truck. We got the call the next day around dinner time advising it was ready. I called the office to tell Sue, saying we could all eat first. An immediate return call told me to meet Mike at the office in 10 minutes. Did I say Mike was the campground manager? I didn't know until we were on the way to the garage. He stayed while I paid the bill and then led me back to the campground. Before returning to his dinner, he made sure I felt the truck was ready to travel the next morning. Before we left that morning a couple staff members stopped by to see if we needed anything. What a great group of people! Would I camp there when I am in the area in the future? No question. Also note that they have great sites, full hookups, the campground is clean and well maintained. Being there is like visiting a caring family.

As owners of 2 pomeranians, we love them dearly and take them with us everywhere. We even bought travel trailer so they would have a safe place to stay while we were away from the campground. This KOA has a great fenced dog "park", complete with benches, shade, water, and "poo" clean-up bags. The campground itself, is very well kept, and has plenty of roads and paths to walk the dogs. I highly recommend this campground!
