Amazing!!

My family and I have been going to Canoe River for years now, it gets better and better every time we go! There is so much for the kids to do, from swimming to dance parties! The staff are amazing, if we have any issues they are quick to fix it ASAP! I always find everyone is pleasant from fellow campers to employees. I feel safe having my kids running around and bike riding throughout the campground, which is a nice thing now a days! I look forward to going many more years to come! Actually while I am writing this, my husband is packing the camper to go back!! Definitely worth checking out for anyone, from beginner campers to the old "pros"! And don't forget to take a ride on the fire truck, it is great!!

Great place for the money

Why travel to New Hampshire when we have a great place like canoe river so close to home. This is a great place to bring your family! some of the sites are on the smaller side but there is plenty of stuff for the kids to do and dont forget to bring the kids bikes because the road are flat and in good condition for kids to ride bikes.

Happy Campers

I have been camping at Canoe River for a couple of seasons already and I really like this campground out of all the campgrounds that I have visited. Their bathrooms and showers are always clean. There are always activites for campers of all ages. The staff and campers are always so friendly and helpful.I love playing bingo and that is great. Our family looks forward to the next season of camping at Canoe River. It is a great place for camping with friends or family and it is a very reasonable price. Don't ever change because your doing a great job!!!!

Family Time

We decided to stay a week. The site I get is breathtaking every morning, but it comes with a price. I stay close to the park and because of this I have teenagers yelling profanity every night from 9-10:pm. The kitchen states a time they will be open till but it really decides to close when it feels like. When ordering food you are engulfed in a cloud of tobacco smoke where there is shade and space to wait for your order to be complete. I had thought it was a state law to not smoke where food was being made, but the staff are smoking within the same area as food preperation. I prefer to not leave my camper at night to use the facilities due to the lack of security. The property itself is very littered, especially within the park. Sadly I do not see my family coming here again. The staff are freindly and the location is prime for us,but we cannot ignore the other issues.

my experience

My first experience at this camperground started off quite well, I enjoyed my site and was going to come back here again, except there was a case of mistaken identity. On our last night there, a woman came by our site and the site on the side of us and informed both sites, to quiet down. Our site had 4 people on it and the other site the people had approx 20 people and at least 5 cars on their site, with a little common sense, you would realize the noise was coming from that site. After the woman asked us to quiet down we all decided to go to sleep, and within an hour the woman returned to that other site and asked them for the last time to quiet down. We thought that was the end of the incident. When we where checking out, our party decided to reserve another reservation for July 28th thru July 31st which seemed to be no problem, we thanked them and left. On July 21st I received a call CONFIRMING my reservation, again thinking everything was OK I proceded to take 2 days off from work along with my friends and started up there on the 28th. All packed up and we pull up to the office, went in to pay and was told we WERE NOT allowed in their campground. Feeling like I really didn't need to, I tried to explain the misidentification and was blatantly told WE HAD TO LEAVE. The way this campground conducts themselves is extremely disappointing, instead of resolving the problem they avoided the problem. Now we are out a combination of approximately $800. plus gas, which I have not decided what my next step will be to resolve this issue. I just thought my fellow campers should know how this place operates. I will keep you all informed if I get a reply from the owners.
