We stayed here with several friends over a reunion weekend at nearby Blanco State Park. We found the accommodations to be really great. The RV sites are reasonably sized for a park like this. Though some more shade would be greatly appreciated. The facilities are top notch. The bath houses are very clean and well maintained and though we didn't use it, it looks like the covered pavillion would be great for events. My only real "gripe" is that there really isn't a very good beach area along this stretch of the river and the rapids were too strong for my little ones. None of these drawbacks would prevent me from returning. The people are very friendly, the sites are clean, the facilities are excellent. What more could you hope for?

Nice, relaxing place to get away in a setting that is rustic but very nice. Good facilities. Favorite place was in the rocker on the porch looking out over the river, esp. in the morning or evening. Close enough to visit and tour the LBJ compound which was fun and interesting. Hope to visit again soon.

This site was amazing. The whole park was very clean. We stayed in one of their cabins and couldn't have been more pleased. They are perfectly decorated, clean and comfortable. The river view is relaxing with a porch and rocking chair to make it more inviting. The river also allows for a cooling dip or fishing. We did both and caught a couple smallmouth bass that we released. Proximity to town is nice for a meal if you decide. The owner was more than helpful and accomodating as well and they have a quaint gift shop. You'll love it!
