Great Camping Experiences
0 % of users found this review helpful
We've camped there a few time starting in 2007 both with our clubs and privately. We have alway found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. The open sites in the area to the left where you first come in a great. This is the area we normally use for club gatherings as the hall is near them. These sites are twice the size of normal campground sites and come with water and electric. There are 2 dumping stations on your way out of the campgrounds. The upper area has wood and open sites that aren't as large, but still roomy enough. Give them a try, you won't regret it.

wonderful spot

I live close to Beaver Meadow so felt we should give it a shot as a home away from home. I couldnt have been more pleased. I visited twice in the summer of 2011, and both times had a spectacular time. the campsites are large, the people are friendly, and the place is calm and relaxing. The pool was perfect for the hot July that we had and our Memorial Day trip had a great band by the entrance. For those people that have said negative things about this place, they couldnt be more wrong. Our party ranged in kid size from 2-12. They kept each other busy, between the pools, bikes, hikes, and activities that were given by the campground. I encourage the children to make their own fun, as that is what camping is all about. I cant wait till next year, as this will be at the top of my list.

Beaver Meadow experience
100 % of users found this review helpful
My husband and I visted Beaver Meadows in Java Center, NY in June, 2010. We leave within 20 miles of this campground so we wanted to check it out. The campground is in a beautiful setting. One part of the campground has pull thru and level sites and very open. The other part has wooded sites. Wear walking shoes as some of the sites are a good distance from the main building. The staff upon checking in and at the little store were extemely helpful and friendly. There was a small pool near the entrance. There was a pancake breakfast on Sun. morning and they also had bingo on Sat.
It is very picturesque. We went for a long walk and there was many open ball fields and a pond for fishing. Within a mile or two is Beaver Hollow conference center and also Beaver Hollow Audubon Society which are great little side trips. It was a relaxing time. The people were all very friendly. We had a great weekend and look forward to returning in the future.
