My wife and I would like to extend our thanks to the campground and staff of apache campground. During our stay my wife became sick and was in the hospital for 6 days. The staff at the campground worked to arange for me to stay in the same site even though we had to extend our stay for several days. This was over the memorial day weekend and the campground was full. I would like to express our heart felt thanks for the extra work and for the kindness shown to my wife and myself in our time of need. You have earned a customer for life.

Wonderful Rest and Relaxation

We had our first visit to Apache in early Sept., 2012 (post Labor Day) and returned again for a long weekend later in the month. This campground is smaller than the other campground that we had visited in South Myrtle but it didn't lack for anything that we needed. The Pier is a wonderful way to spend some time whether you are fishing or not. In fact I'm thinking of starting back fishing again when we return. Croakers Restsurant has a good breakfast and great hosts and hostesses for those times you aren't cooking back at your site. I love to eat there due its proximity to the pier and great views also. I've generally had a wonderful time there enjoying sitting on the beach, walking the dogs, making new friends or meeting old ones, listening to Jimmy Buffet outside the camper while attempting to read, or grill, or snooze. Outside the campground on Arrowhead Road is Biminis Oyster Bar and Restaurant where I've enjoyed some great fish and oysters and an occasional brew or two. Walmart is close if you forget anything from home. Barefoot Landing and other North Myrtle Beach places are easy to get to. So far though we've had such relaxing visits to Apache we haven't ventured outside of the campground other than to eat a few times. In short I'm a 60 year old fellow new to camping in the past year who's visited 5 sites thus far ranging from St.Augustine (which is super) to several in North Carolina. We've had great experiences in all of them and met some wonderful folks. Apache Campground has provided my wife a perfect place to enjoy each other's company away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I just made a reservation for mid-April and I can hardly wait to get back.

Love the location of Apache... right at Barefoot Landing, Tanger Outlets, Bass Pro Shop, and Restaurant Row. Even with chilly weather, beach walking was wonderful. They also let you bring in your own golf cart.

My husband and I have been coming to Apache for a few years around the Christmas and New year holidays. We have met some wonderful people who visit from other states and countries. It is such a relaxing and peaceful place and close to all attractions. Hope we get to enjoy many more years there. P.S. our dog Buster loves it there too!!!

I have been going to Myrtle Beach to Apache Pier and Family Campground for 30 years now and will continue to do so. I have never been more excited to go on family vacation. We have stayed both in a leisure living rental as well as had a camper to put on a lot. Either way we have a blast. You are close to the ocean for swimming and playing in the sand for the kids. You are also very close driving time to grocery stores, shopping areas. I could list a ton of childhood memories and recent ones that my children are now making. This is a great place to take a family and forge new friendships while camping and having a great vacation.

LAST MINUITE
100 % of users found this review helpful
I will be a winter resident at Appachie camp ground for year 2012. I received a letter from the camp ground telling me there will be a $150.00 fee for having my personal golf cart. What am I getting for my money? In short NOTHING! All this is is a last minute cash grab! If I cancel for the season I will lose my $200.00 deposit. If I stay I must pay the $150.00 fee. So they get in your pocket coming or going! Wach out for this one! I will not be back in 2013! So next year they will not get any for my money. -$2500.00 on your bottom line next year!

My husband and I stayed at Apache for a week of Heaven. It was the most beautiful place. The staff was very kind and helpful. Apache was very clean and well kept. We are making reservations again for this coming summer. Best realxing, peaceful, beautiful vacation we have ever taken. We will be going back in the summer of 2013.

Our stay at the campground

Rv park was okay didnt like public access, the bathrooms are the worst ive seen to hot and no locks on stalls showers and floors awful discusting. Pools was nice and big. cable didnt work most of the time and when it did it was not clear. spots unlevel. internet you have to pay for and when you pay out that kind of money internet should be free with stay. didnt like that i could only go on the pier between certain hours and then have to pay to get back on it at night. I dont believe I will be back to this campground im sure its great for people who like to fish but for the rest of us who wanted a clean nice campground it is upsetting. the best part was the view the worst part was the bathrooms.
