Park is nice, a ton of pine needles. Lake is beautiful!! Staff is incredible nice!!! Security made it's rounds every night, numerous times. You need a code to access the park in a car (nice extra security). Trains are incredible. I've never heard so many trains in my life!! Me and my dogs have walked the lake and the path to Allatoona Passage Battlefield. Excellent walks. No complaints except for the trains. The washing machines don't get warm water, you'll be washing your clothes in luke warm water. I would definitely stay again. I'm sorry you are only aloud a 30 day stay.

Very disappointed

We stayed for a week in one of the two bedroom cottages. Awful experience!! The only place to sit was in two very uncomfortable chairs, one of which was broken. When I called to ask about the broken chair, the girl said "Oh, I will put in a work order to fix it when you leave" ??? What happened to I'm sorry, we will bring you another chair. The place was dirty, cramped and to top it all off, trains went by all day and night, so don't stay in a cabin. Now the campsites on the opposite side of the train tracks might be OK. This was in November and we had to be out of our house for repairs, so we thought it would be nice to stay at the lake. I would never stay here again!! Also when we left we needed a receipt for insurance purposes and you would have thought we asked for the moon! They really need lessons in customer service.
